Use with your Mac

Configure your Mac to appear as a server for Secure ShellFish. Open System Settings → General → Sharing on modern macOS and turn on Remote Login. The Mac is then reachable on its local hostname (e.g. MacBook-Pro.local) when both devices are on the same network, or via your public IP, Tailscale or another VPN if you've set up remote access.

If the hostname ends in .local, your iPhone, iPad or Mac can only reach it on the same Wi-Fi or Bonjour network.
