Terminal Snippets
Create snippets to speed up your work. A snippet isn't limited to plain text — it can replay any key sequence, including control codes and escape sequences, with optional delays for slow remote prompts.
For example:
git commit -m "— a partial command, ready to finish typing^B)— switch to the next tmux session␛[Z— send Shift-Tab where the keyboard doesn't have it^C— interrupt the running command
Available by long-tapping on the keyboard bar, in the Copy/Paste menu, the Fn keyboard, with ⌘S on a hardware keyboard, and on iPad by tapping with Apple Pencil when enabled in snippet settings.
Snippets sync across all your devices when iCloud Keychain is on. The snippet gallery, with curated examples for popular workflows, opens in the search field.
Add #Tags to snippet names for quick filtering. Selection is remembered per server, so each connection sees the snippets relevant to its operating system or role.
Assign snippets to keys on the keyboard bar or Fn keyboard — replacing the default action — or trigger them with shortcuts on an external keyboard.
